A Monitoring Visit to the Kelulut Project under the ATM MADANI Economic Program was held at 18 RAMD (PARA), Seri Pantai Camp, Kuala Nerus to assess the current status of the project’s implementation.
A total of 40 kelulut nests were supplied through this initiative as an effort to strengthen the well-being of the community through economic activities based on kelulut honey farming which has the potential to provide additional income to members and the Armed Forces Family Welfare Agency (BAKAT).
The visit by Brig Gen Hamdan bin Ahmad TUDM, Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel Services (TAKS PA), together with Lt Col Sazizi bin Mat Piah TUDM, PS 1 CSA Administration, was welcomed by Maj Mohd Aufa bin Baharuddin, Assistant Commanding Officer of 18 RAMD (PARA), Seri Pantai Camp.
As a preparatory step, a series of workshops with BAKAT will be organized in the near future to improve the knowledge and skills of participants in the basic aspects of kelulut farming and products based on kelulut honey.
Also present were Prof. Dr. Shamsul Bahri Abd Razak with the team from the Centre for Knowledge Transfer, Industry & Community Linkages (PPIJIM), Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT).
