April 29, 2026 – Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) has organized the Collaboration and Exhibition of the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) Social Research Fund which featured two impactful projects from the KPT allocation. The project exhibited was the Fikirkan Al-Quran Application worth RM69,270, involving 30 prospective prisoners (inmates) at Marang Prison which aims to learn the vocabulary of the Al-Quran independently and support the personality recovery process.

In addition, the TAPAi Project with a funding injection of RM45,100 involved 15 disabled artisans and eight trainee teachers who were given digital marketing knowledge strengthening and website development to expand product market access. Both projects reflect the university’s ability to translate research results into social impact that benefits vulnerable communities. Also present at this event were university leadership, representatives of government agencies and strategic partners. 

This event was coordinated by PPIJIM with the collaboration of the project team of Dr. Noraida Hj. Ali and Dr. Noor Azliza Che Mat, as well as support from the PKK and PPH. Thank you.
