Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) launched Sekolah Angkat MADANI (SAM) as the implementing agency at SMK Seri Nilam, Kuala Terengganu which was officiated by YBhg. Dato’ Sri Ab Rahim bin Ab Rahman, Director of the National Budget, cum Member of the Board of Directors of UMT.
This program supports the Civil Service Reform agenda by strengthening the relationship between ministries, agencies, universities and schools through high-impact education.
UMT received an allocation of RM100,000 from the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and succeeded in achieving 100% implementation of five main components: academic improvement and student motivation, teacher training, special education facilities, facility maintenance and school excitement.
The initiative was also supported through SULAM and KTAGS, including the contribution of facilities and used assets from UMT. The total benefit exceeded RM100,000, reflecting UMT’s commitment to the “University for the Community” agenda and UMT’s spirit of Togetherness.
The ceremony was attended by YBhg. Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Mohd Zamri bin Ibrahim with the Top Management of UMT, PPPNT, JPNT, PPD Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu State Farmers’ Organization, and SMK Seri Nilam residents.
