The pitching session for the 3rd SULAM Innovate Competition was held at the Academic Building, UniSZA. A total of 20 finalists from 14 higher education institutions (IPT) throughout Malaysia presented their innovation projects, demonstrating creative and high-impact ideas in the fields of Science & Technology and Social Sciences.
This competition was organized by the Academic Excellence Division, Ministry of Higher Education (KPT), in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) through the Center for Knowledge Transfer, Industry and Community Networking (PPIJIM). The pitching session was judged by 12 judges consisting of the KPT SULAM Strategic Committee, academia, industry and community representatives, to assess comprehensive evaluations from various perspectives. The competition aims to encourage student innovation through the Service-Learning Malaysia–University for Society (SULAM) approach as well as strengthen students’ soft skills and practical experience.
A total of 299 entries were received and have gone through three stages of screening. Only the best 20 projects made it to the pitching session and were announced at the Closing Ceremony of the 3rd International Conference on SULAM 2025 and SULAM Innovate.
