UMT through the Center for Knowledge Transfer, Industry and Community Linkages (PPIJIM) has received a courtesy visit and working visit from the Poverty Eradication Foundation (YBK) to strengthen strategic relationships and explore opportunities for collaboration in programs that have a social impact.
The YBK delegation was led by YBhg. Dato’ Haji Zainal Abidin Sakom, Chairman of YBK, together with YBhg. Datin Dr Hajah Hartini Osman (Administrative Advisor), En. Sherhan Nizam Abdul Aziz (General Manager), YBK officers and YBK strategic partners from Felda Wilayah Timur.
The visit began with a sharing session on UMT’s knowledge transfer project, followed by visits to several project sites such as kelulut farming, catfish aquaculture integration and cultivation, oyster mushroom cultivation, and aquaponics systems.
It is hoped that this collaboration will strengthen the role of UMT and YBK in empowering community development based on knowledge and innovation.
